Top Virtual Pet Apps in Portugal: Q1 2025 Performance

In the first quarter of 2025, the virtual pet app market in Portugal showcased some interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, the top five apps in this category experienced varied performance across downloads, revenue, and active users.

Pokémon Sleep saw a notable rise in weekly revenue, starting from around $330 in early January and peaking at approximately $483 by the end of March. Weekly downloads also increased significantly, reaching 281K in late February. Active users showed a remarkable upward trend, growing from 717K to 2.2M over the quarter.

My Cat – Virtual Pet Games had steady revenue growth, culminating at $304 in March. Downloads peaked at 2.5K in early March, while active users increased from 597K to 1.5M, indicating a strong engagement from its user base.

Baby care game & Dress up maintained a consistent revenue stream, with a peak of $215 early in the quarter. Downloads remained stable, though slightly declining towards the end of March. Active users decreased gradually from 1.9M to 1.5M.

My Dragon - Virtual Pet Game experienced a revenue peak of $177 in late February. Downloads soared to 2.5K in the same period, while active users fluctuated, ending the quarter with 2.1M users.

Lastly, Kids doctor games: hospital 3+ showed a slight dip in revenue, peaking at $142 early in the quarter and ending at $103. Downloads remained relatively stable, with a slight peak in early March. Active user numbers increased steadily, reaching 530K by the end of March.
